Boulder Teen Film Festival
The Boulder Teen Film Festival mission is to empower young filmmakers to create engaging films of any genre. We provide a platform to showcase your work at a screening and award event to help you advance your career in the film industry or just have fun with your friends. We have no fee for submissions and the festival will be open to the public at no charge.
Our festival founders have many years of experience in filmmaking, secondary education, and event planning.
We are supported by a team of teen volunteers who will add their perspective to our event planning and will serve as film judges.
We can also provide feedback and advice to young filmmakers.
The due date for submissions is 09/15/26.
Following the judging period winners will be notified. All accepted films will be screened at our screening and award event. Awards will be given to winning filmmakers.
The event will be held at Louisville Library First Floor Meeting Room 951 Spruce Street, Louisville, CO on 12/3/26 Doors open at 5:00 pm.
FESTIVAL RULES:
Please use the following rules to guide your creative submission:
- Films with nudity or profanity will be disqualified.
- The Film Director must be at the age of 19 or younger on the date of final submissions (September 15, 2026).
- Films over 5 minutes will be accepted but will only be screened if time allows.
- Films of any genre are accepted including comedy, drama, horror, thriller, commercials, documentary, or music video.
- Deadline for Submissions: SEPTEMBER 15, 2026
- Submission format: DVD, Video file, or posted to an accessible web site.
Entries:
1) By mail, please send a CD, DVD or other physical media with your movie to the physical address BELOW. Entry receipt will be based upon the date sent, not the date received.
2) By e-mail, web site, or large file service such as Hightail.com or Dropbox: Please send your file or link to: BOCOFilmFest@gmail.com (Note that GMail may have a size limit for your account - generally 15 MB)
